The 3rd Millennium Audio Millennium-5 is a set of four replacement headrest speakers custom engineered for the 1990-1997 Mazda Miata. Each speaker includes pre-installed crossover/blocking capacitors to maximize performance and protect the unit.

The Millennium-5 speakers boast several improvements over factory units. They feature significantly larger magnets than the original speakers, allowing them to handle 20 watts RMS of power each, a substantial increase from the OEM's 5 watts RMS. The cones are treated with a polymer impregnation for moisture resistance, crucial for a convertible, and improved transient response. The butyl rubber surrounds replace the common failure point of rotted paper or foam surrounds, enhancing low-end frequency response and providing a warm, neutral sound profile for extended listening comfort. Each speaker comes with pre-installed 150uf crossover/blocking capacitors, a feature valued at $20, to optimize performance and protect the speaker. The speakers deliver an impressive frequency response of 100 Hz to 14,000 Hz (-3dB) and an 8-ohm impedance, making them safe for use with any radio and door speaker setup in your Miata, whether wired in series or parallel.
