Heat Shield

This versatile shield can be applied to firewalls, transmission tunnels, floor boards, fuel cells, and other areas susceptible to high temperatures, effectively limiting heat transfer. Beyond its thermal barrier capabilities, it also offers protection against track and road debris, as well as sound deadening properties. Constructed with a durable 10 mil embossed aluminum face bonded to a 1/8" composite glass-fiber core, this shield is designed for extreme conditions. It can withstand direct heat up to 1750°F, while its high-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive backing remains effective at temperatures up to 450°F. The improved multifaceted aluminum surface enhances reflectivity and rigidity, simplifying installation. The aluminum side must always face the heat source. At only 3/16" thick, the Floor & Tunnel Shield II is flexible enough to be shaped and trimmed for a custom fit, making it ideal for areas with minimal clearance. Its unique, patented finely woven glass-fiber backing contributes to its ease of use and cost-effectiveness in controlling thermal transfer. This shield is compatible with various surfaces, including metal, aluminum, carbon fiber, and plastic, and can be used in multiple applications such as engine compartments, under hoods, inside the cabin, and exterior underbody locations. *Please note: Do not apply this product directly to exhaust components.
