Overview

The PPE Heavy-Duty engine oil pan is a high-capacity, cast aluminum upgrade designed for 2017-2019 GM 6.6L Duramax engines.

Constructed from heat-treated A356.0-T6 aluminum, the pan features cooling channels and gussets for enhanced structural integrity and heat dissipation. It also includes a stainless steel drain plug equipped with a high-temperature neodymium magnet to capture metallic debris.

By utilizing a precision-cast, flat-bottom design, this pan ensures complete oil drainage during every service, preventing the contamination of fresh oil and protecting engine internals. Crafted from A356.0-T6 heat-treated aluminum alloy, this pan offers superior durability, corrosion resistance, and thermal conductivity compared to standard A380 aluminum units. The construction includes thick midsection ribs, internal gussets for flange support, and longitudinal cooling channels to optimize heat dissipation, making it ideal for high-stress driving environments. This pan increases total oil capacity by 2 quarts, which improves thermal stamina and helps reduce fluid operating temperatures. It also features a rear-facing, precipitation-hardened stainless steel drain plug with a powerful, high-temperature-rated neodymium magnet, specifically positioned to avoid impact from road debris and maximize metallic particle extraction. Installation is a straightforward process, and the design maintains the factory oil pickup and dipstick calibration, ensuring no changes to oil level readings are required. Each unit includes a pre-installed 1/8-inch NPT port for sensor integration and is compatible with RTV-style sealants via precision-machined grooves. Note: When servicing the drain plug, inspect or replace the washer as needed depending on the specific hardware type used.
