Heavy-Duty Cast Aluminum Transmission Pan

Excessive heat can significantly shorten transmission life by reducing fluid viscosity and compromising lubrication. The PPE Heavy-Duty Cast Aluminum Transmission Pan addresses this by increasing fluid capacity by 3 quarts, providing superior heat management and performance. It is constructed from premium, heat-treated A356.0-T6 aluminum alloy, a material known for its high strength and thermal conductivity. The pan features tall 3/4-inch external fins designed to maximize heat dissipation, thereby lowering transmission fluid temperature and increasing impact resistance. Internally, deep one-inch baffles work to absorb heat and minimize fluid sloshing, ensuring consistent fluid pickup and stable operation. These external fins and internal baffles together create an ultra-strong cross-bracing structure, enhancing rigidity and distributing loads more effectively. Additional support is provided by cast-in gussets that reinforce the transmission housing flange. The drain plug is a 304 stainless steel unit equipped with a high-temperature neodymium magnet to capture ferrous particles, offering an extra layer of protection against wear. A 1/8-inch NPT port with a pre-installed plug is also included. This transmission pan is designed to be compatible with the OEM gasket and filter, and it comes with a new deep spin-on filter (228052150) featuring finer filtration and a 57% larger media area.
