The Grip Racing Stage 3 (1MS) Clutch Kit is engineered to handle challenging driving environments, offering a significant upgrade over stock components. It features a heavy-duty single diaphragm pressure plate and reinforced drive straps for increased strength and reliability. The kit includes a Sprung MIBA Ceramic disc, available in 4 or 6 puck configurations, which provides quicker engagement and is suitable for low to mild horsepower vehicles. It boasts a torque holding capacity of 376 ft-lbs and requires the use of Hondata Flash Pro for proper operation. The package includes a Sprung MIBA Ceramic 6 Puck Disc, Single Diaphragm HD Pressure Plate, Pilot Bearing/Bushing (when applicable), Clutch Alignment Tool, Conventional Release Bearing, and a Lightened Flywheel. A break-in period of 500 street miles is required, during which RPMs should be kept under 4500, throttle input limited to half, and boost avoided if applicable. This break-in procedure is crucial for retaining the product warranty, ensuring longevity, and maintaining holding capacity. The use of a ceramic-based disc increases holding capacity and durability but may lead to premature wear with frequent street driving due to harsher engagement. It is important to note that this is a high-performance racing component and is not intended as an OEM replacement. The clutch assemblies are computer spin balanced to within .25 oz-in for smooth operation. Expect an increase in pedal effort compared to stock. This kit is specifically designed for the Honda Civic Si 2012-2015 2.4L (K24Z7) models.
