The ACT Heavy Duty Performance Street Sprung Clutch Kit (SB13-HDSS) is engineered to provide a significant upgrade in performance and durability for your vehicle's drivetrain. This kit combines ACT's most popular Heavy Duty pressure plate with a performance street disc, utilizing premium organic friction materials for excellent heat transfer and durability. The Heavy Duty pressure plate incorporates ACT's exclusive diaphragm design, which increases clamp load, minimizes deflection, and extends clutch life. This design undergoes a rigorous four-stage heat-treating process for optimal performance. The clutch disc features high-performance organic materials with a high copper content and a steel-backed lining for enhanced burst strength and longevity. Its reduced marcel allows for quicker shifting, complementing the pressure plate's increased strength and reliability. This clutch kit offers a light to moderate pedal effort with smooth, positive engagement, and may produce mild gear rattle. It is carefully engineered, precisely assembled, and dynamically computer balanced to ensure smooth high-RPM reliability. With a torque capacity of 259 ft-lbs, it provides a 59% increase over stock, making it suitable for both street and race applications. The kit includes M8-1.25 x 16mm pressure plate bolts and comes with a 12-month warranty. It is specifically designed for 2013-2020 Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S, and Toyota 86 models with the 2.0L H4 engine.
