The SpeedFactory HD Detent Spring Kit offers an inexpensive and simple upgrade to enhance the feel and engagement of your manual transmission. Designed for improved shift action, these upgraded coil springs provide over an 80% increase in spring rate compared to stock, leading to a more positive and defined engagement with each gear. This enhanced tactile feedback helps ensure positive gear selection and stability. The kit is suitable for street or track use and is ideal for drivers seeking a more connected shifting experience. Installation is straightforward and can be completed in the car by replacing the OEM springs, balls, and setting bolts with the SpeedFactory HD components. The process involves removing the OEM spring setting bolts, installing the OEM ball with the SpeedFactory HD spring and OEM bolt, and torquing to specification. This Heavy Duty Detent Spring Kit fits a wide range of Honda transmissions, including all hydraulic DOHC B-Series (B16, B18, B20), cable YS1, all K-Series, D16Y (96-00 ONLY), D17A (01-05 ONLY), F20B, F22A/B, H22A, and H23 transmissions. The kit comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
