Description

The Sonnax Heavy Duty Input Shaft, part number 22121B-01, is engineered for demanding Chrysler A618, 47RH/RE, and 48RE transmissions. This robust upgrade replaces the original two-piece shaft and hub design with a superior one-piece construction, which merges the input shaft and forward clutch hub to eliminate a common failure point. Crafted from ultra-high-strength 300M billet steel, the shaft's internal grain structure follows the part's shape, significantly increasing its overall strength and resistance to torsional stress. This custom forging process contributes to its reputation as a popular upgrade for high-performance Dodge trucks. The shaft features a 23-tooth input spline and a 62-tooth clutch spline, and it is designed to be compatible with OE seals.
