The ACT ZM5-HDR4 Heavy Duty Race Rigid 4 Pad Clutch Kit is engineered for demanding race applications, offering enhanced performance and durability. This kit features ACT's renowned Heavy Duty pressure plate, distinguished by its exclusive diaphragm design. This design significantly increases clamp load, minimizes deflection, and ultimately extends clutch life, ensuring reliable performance under stress. The hub is crafted from chrome-moly and heat-treated for exceptional strength and longevity. This rigid, lightweight design promotes quicker shifts and provides smooth, trouble-free service, making it well-suited for smaller engines and high-RPM reliability. Rigorous testing, including 100% clamp load testing and dynamic computer balancing, ensures smooth operation and high RPM reliability. The kit also includes pressure plate bolts (M8-1.25 x 20mm). Specifications include a torque capacity of 359 ft-lbs, which is 71% over OE. The disc diameter is 8.8 inches (224mm) with an input shaft diameter of 0.9375 inches. The pressure plate is a Heavy Duty type. This clutch kit is recommended for race use only, and while it offers moderate friction life extended by ACT's design, the rigid design may increase spline wear. Pedal effort is described as light to moderate with aggressive engagement and potential for increased gear rattle. The product is backed by a 12-month warranty.
