This kit features ACT's popular Heavy Duty pressure plate with an exclusive diaphragm design for increased clamp load, reduced deflection, and maximized clutch life. The 6-pad, spring-centered race disc is designed to properly damp torsional vibrations and resist failure under harsh conditions, offering faster shifting with a harsher engagement.

The ACT Heavy Duty Race Sprung 6 Pad Clutch Kit is engineered for performance applications, offering a significant upgrade over stock clutch systems. This kit includes ACT's well-regarded Heavy Duty pressure plate, which utilizes an exclusive diaphragm design to increase clamp load by 20-50% over OEM specifications, thereby increasing torque capacity and extending clutch life. The pressure plate covers undergo a four-stage heat-treating process for enhanced durability and performance. Precision cover stampings ensure rigidity and consistency. The included 6-pad, spring-centered race disc is constructed with a spring-center mechanism to effectively dampen torsional vibrations and prevent failure, even under demanding conditions. While this design results in a harsher engagement, it facilitates faster shifting. This disc type is particularly recommended for larger clutch sizes to better absorb heat. Key specifications include a 8.8-inch (224mm) disc diameter, a ceramic friction material, and a 24-input spline count with a 1-inch input shaft diameter. This kit is rated for a torque capacity of 399 ft-lbs and is considered performance grade. It comes with a release bearing and an alignment tool, but does not include the clutch master cylinder, pilot bushing, clutch slave cylinder, or flywheel bolts. Grease is included.
