Heavy-Duty Torque-Arm Suspension System

The Maximum Motorsports Heavy-Duty Torque-arm (MMTA-3) is engineered to deliver ultimate rear suspension performance for your 1979-2004 Mustang equipped with an 8.8" solid axle. Users can expect dramatically increased rear grip, improved launching at the drag strip, and the elimination of wheel hop during hard acceleration. Furthermore, it enhances cornering ability, improves wet weather traction, and leads to more predictable handling. This heavy-duty torque-arm boasts a higher engine power rating compared to the standard-duty version. Please note that exhaust modifications are required for installation; consult the Heavy-Duty Torque Arm installation instructions for details. To ensure you order the correct torque-arm, several factors must be considered, including whether the Heavy-Duty version is necessary, the type of subframe connectors (rectangular MM or round non-MM) installed on your Mustang, the strength of your existing subframe connectors, and whether you have a suitable Panhard Bar and rear lower control arms. Spring rates and potential exhaust modifications also need to be addressed. Options for a Racing Crossmember and complete Torque-arm suspension packages are available.
