The PerTronix Flame-Thrower HEI/EST Distributor is a high-energy ignition distributor designed to improve engine performance by delivering consistent, powerful spark energy for efficient combustion. It is designed for Chevrolet Small Block and Big Block engines, optimizing ignition timing and flame kernel growth to maximize power and fuel efficiency. It features a lightweight aluminum alloy housing, precision-machined chromoly advance weights, and a centerless ground corrosion-resistant shaft. The high dielectric strength cap includes brass terminals and a low resistance center coil brush. The balanced rotor uses nylon screws to prevent arcing and minimize vibration at high RPMs. Installation is a direct fit, requiring no drilling or modifications. It includes an adjustable vacuum advance canister for tuning.
