This unit is equipped with a powerful 65,000-volt internal coil and a high-output ignition module, delivering the spark needed for high-performance applications. This distributor offers fully adjustable mechanical and vacuum advances, allowing for fine-tuning of engine timing for optimal performance. It includes a convenient one-wire hookup and comes with a vacuum advance adjustment tool. Designed for 12-volt electrical systems utilizing an alternator, it is explicitly not compatible with generators and cannot be used with a ballast resistor. The distributor is built for 6-cylinder engines. Important fitment notes include: this distributor will not fit engines manufactured before 1963. The distributor gear is most compatible with cast iron hydraulic or solid flat tappet camshafts; consultation with the camshaft manufacturer is recommended for the appropriate gear material selection.
