The GM 91012342 is a fully assembled HEI distributor, ready for installation. It comes equipped with a high-output 50,000-volt ignition coil and a premium cap and rotor with brass terminals for maximum ignition performance. This distributor is designed for use with small block and big block Chevys and GM applications that utilize the 4-pin ignition module. It features both vacuum and mechanical advance for optimized engine timing across different RPM ranges. The magnetic trigger style ensures reliable operation. Installation involves carefully lowering the new distributor into position, ensuring the rotor aligns with the same fixed point as the old distributor. The instructions also mention plugging the pickup lead connector into the new distributor cap.
