Description

Its internal gear tooth forms are optimized for strength and improved oil film retention, with a smaller yet more durable gear package. A key feature is its patented technology that actively mitigates wheelspin when a wheel becomes unloaded. During zero axle load conditions, the Wavetrac cam device creates internal load, ensuring drive is maintained on the gripping wheel. The Wavetrac differential is designed, developed, and manufactured in the USA by Autotech Driveline. This differential is intended for VW Type 02A 5-speed transmissions with clip-in axles. It fits the VW MK3 Jetta GTI, Corrado VR6 (not TDI), VW Corrado G60, and VW Passat B3/B4 VR6 models. All Wavetrac differentials include a transferable, Limited Lifetime Warranty.

The Wavetrac differential is a state-of-the-art helical gear differential designed, developed, and manufactured in the USA. It features patented technology to mitigate wheelspin during unloaded wheel conditions by creating internal load. The internal gears are made from high-strength 9310 alloy steel, and the diff bodies are machined from case-hardened steel billet. It uses ARP fasteners for durability.
