The Wavetrac ATB LSD (35.309.170WK) is a unique gear-type limited-slip differential engineered to maintain drive even when one axle becomes unloaded. This is a common occurrence during aggressive driving, track cornering, or on slick surfaces, where conventional gear differentials can lose power to one wheel. Wavetrac's patented cam device generates an internal load that is biased to the wheel with traction, providing more consistent power delivery and making the car more predictable and faster. Key features contribute to its performance and reliability. The differential utilizes 9310 steel gears housed in billet or forged steel bodies for durability. It incorporates a patented Carbon Fibre Bias Plate for the pinions, which ensures consistent effectiveness over the life of the diff, unlike other gear-type LSDs where pinions run on the housing. The unique Wave Profile design actively eliminates drive-ability issues associated with near-zero load conditions found in other ATB LSDs.
