It is constructed from forged high-nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel and utilizes advanced gear geometry to minimize drivetrain losses. This differential is covered by a lifetime, globally transferable warranty.

Constructed from imported Japanese SAE 4320 & SAE 9310 steel, this differential is forged, double-tempered, and Super Sub-Zero treated for exceptional toughness and durability. The maintenance-free gears eliminate the need for special fluids and rebuilds typically associated with plate-type LSDs, and its lock-free operation ensures no adverse effect on steering response. According to the MFactory BMW Fitment Guide, this LSD is a direct bolt-on replacement for E36/E39/E46 models, as well as E8X/E9X/E60 models that are not 35i variants or are 35i AT. However, for E8X/E9X/E60 35i MT models produced after 03/2007, and all 35i DCT and F20/F30 models, the LSD requires either the OE crown wheel to be welded to it or a new MFactory final drive to be fitted.
