The Black Ops Auto Works Carbon Fiber Hellcat Hood is meticulously handcrafted in the USA for 2015-2023 Dodge Chargers, including Hellcat, SRT, Scat Pack, and R/T trims. The proprietary UV gel coat is buffed to a mirror-like shine and can be wet-sanded and re-buffed to repair minor scratches or gouges, ensuring a long-lasting, pristine look. It is also compatible with ceramic coatings and PPF wrapping for added protection. Installation involves reusing OEM hinge and latch hardware, with an optional hood prop rod available. Hood pins are recommended for safety, especially for high-performance driving, to act as a secondary security measure. Note that OEM vents are not included and must be sourced separately from Mopar dealers (Right Vent: #68202580AC, Left Vent: #68202581AC, Center Vent: #68202462AD). Fiberglass hoods require painting prior to installation. Care instructions recommend monthly waxing with pure carnauba wax to maintain the gel coat's shine and prevent drying. Avoid slamming or dropping the hood to prevent potential cracking. The product is shipped via ground truck freight (LTL) due to its size, with arrangements needed for shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, or international locations.
