Hi-Flow Water Pump for Ford 7.3L Diesel

The FlowKooler 1646B is a hi-flow water pump engineered to combat overheating in Ford 7.3L Diesel engines manufactured between 1996 and 2003. The impeller is anodized with a military-grade surface coating, providing protection against corrosive fluids. FlowKooler emphasizes that increasing coolant flow is crucial for cooling hot engines, particularly under load, as it allows for more frequent heat dissipation and temperature reduction. The pump is designed for counter-clockwise rotation and has a fan hub working height of 4 1/4 inches. Before ordering, please note that Ford adopted a 195° thermostat in 1996, which requires a longer stem than the earlier 203° thermostat used in pre-1996 models. This later pump requires the longer stem 195° thermostat to properly seat the bypass disk. The FlowKooler 1646B is recommended for use from 0-3,300 RPM. Included with the water pump are a mounting ring, an installation sheet, and a FlowKooler decal. This hi-flow water pump is compatible with various Ford models including the E-350, E-450, E-550 Econoline and Super Duty variants, Excursion, F-250, F-250 HD, F-250 Super Duty, F-350, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty, F-550 Super Duty, and F59, covering model years from 1996 to 2003 for the 7.3L Diesel V8 engine.
