The FlowKooler 32-48Pair is a set of two hi-flow water pumps designed for Ford and Mercury Flathead engines from 1932-1948. These pumps combat overheating by increasing coolant flow rates. Each pump features a cast iron body and a 12-blade impeller.

The FlowKooler 32-48Pair water pumps are engineered to combat overheating issues in Ford and Mercury Flathead engines. Unlike stock cast iron impellers, these pumps utilize a precision-machined billet aluminum impeller with more vanes and a thinner vane wall to draw and move more fluid. This design achieves greater flow rates and higher head pressure, which is crucial for shedding heat effectively and reducing the likelihood of steam vapor formation at higher RPMs. The impeller is further protected by an anodized military-grade surface coating. These pumps feature a durable cast iron body and a 12-blade impeller designed for clockwise rotation. They are equipped with a 5/8" single groove pulley. This package includes both the left and right hand pumps, as required for Flathead V8 engines. Mounting gaskets, an installation sheet, and a FlowKooler decal are included in the box. FlowKooler Hi-Flow water pumps are known to double coolant flow rates, potentially reducing engine temperature by up to 30 degrees. This increased flow helps by getting hot coolant to the radiator more frequently, creating more opportunities to shed heat and lower engine temperatures. For optimal performance, ensure your cooling system is in good condition. An installation tip suggests that if fluid loss occurs from non-pressure systems, a rebuild kit with the correct height might be necessary to prevent premature coolant escape.
