Description

The Ireland Engineering aluminum radiator is a high-capacity cooling upgrade specifically designed for the BMW 2002. This all-aluminum unit provides substantially higher cooling capacity compared to standard radiators, while retaining the correct front mounting flange and hose locations for a more straightforward installation. It comes equipped with a convenient drain bolt at the bottom. Installation on these vehicles, which are approximately 40 years old, may require minor adjustments. Ensure there is at least 0.5 inches of clearance between the water pump nose and the radiator. It is important to note that a tropical fan is not recommended for use with this radiator. Mounting is similar to that of an OEM turbo radiator and may necessitate drilling new mounting holes. Radiator Dimensions: Height: 17.75 inches, Width: 17.25 inches, Thickness: 2.15 inches. Mounting Dimensions: Flange to radiator face: 2.25 inches, Flange edge to flange edge: 20.25 inches. This radiator is explicitly NOT intended for 2002 models equipped with automatic transmissions.
