The Comp Cams CL94-302-5 High Energy Cam and Lifter Kit is engineered to provide strong low and mid-range torque with a smooth idle for Cadillac 425, 472, and 500 cubic inch engines manufactured between 1963 and 1979. This kit features a hydraulic flat tappet camshaft with a 212 degree duration at .050 inch lift for both intake and exhaust, and a valve lift of .481 inches. The camshaft series is High Energy, indicating its design for street performance usage within an operating RPM range of 1,000 to 5,000 RPM. This CL-Kit includes the camshaft, lifters, and assembly lube, along with decals and instructions for installation. The camshaft utilizes a 1-bolt attachment for the camshaft gear. The material for the camshaft is cast iron. This camshaft is CARB exempt for racing and off-road only vehicles, provided they are competition-only. It is also CARB exempt for federally certified vehicles manufactured before 1967, California certified vehicles manufactured before 1965, and foreign vehicles manufactured before 1967, as long as they meet the tailpipe emission standards for their respective year. However, this camshaft is not CARB exempt for on-road vehicles.
