The VRSF High-Flow catted downpipe is engineered to be a significant performance upgrade for B58 engine variants in BMW models from 2016-2022. Constructed from hand-crafted, TIG-welded 4.5-inch 304-grade stainless steel, this downpipe replaces the restrictive factory catalytic converter with a high-flow 200-cell catalytic converter. This design choice substantially reduces back pressure, leading to faster turbo spool, an increase in horsepower (estimated 25-30hp with a tune), and a more aggressive exhaust note. The downpipe features smooth radius bends to minimize turbulence and maximize flow, ensuring an efficient transition from the turbocharger to the mid-pipes. VRSF offers a lifetime warranty on their race versions and a one-year warranty specifically for the high-flow catted versions. This downpipe is compatible with a wide range of BMW models, including the M240i, 340i, 440i, 540i, 740i, and 840i variants (both standard and xDrive) from 2016 through 2022, with specific year ranges noted for certain chassis codes like the G11/G12 740i which applies from 2018-2022.
