Its construction features double-layer woven cotton media within deep pleats, expanding the filtration surface area by 10% to 15%. This design promotes a greater volume of air entering the combustion chamber without compromising on filtration quality, capturing particles as small as 5 microns. To ensure robustness and prevent damage, the filter is encased in a durable stainless steel mesh, capable of withstanding demanding conditions. The manufacturing process involves a four-step, low-pressure injection molding technique that securely bonds the rubber base to the filter components. This method virtually eliminates rubber seepage, which can obstruct airflow in other manufacturing processes, ensuring maximum air delivery. This filter is specifically designed to fit all 2021+ Acura TLX Type-S 3.0T and all 2022+ Acura MDX Type-S 3.0T models, including all variant models such as RHD and International versions. It requires no ECU calibration for installation. The filter is intended to last a lifetime with proper cleaning and maintenance using biodegradable cleaners and synthetic oil. However, please note that this product is not legal for sale or use in California on any emission-controlled motor vehicle.
