The CTS Turbo High-Flow Intake Kit is engineered to enhance airflow and performance for select BMW models equipped with the S63TU4/N63T3 4.4L twin-turbo engine. This kit replaces the restrictive factory intake system, allowing for increased air volume and a more direct path to the turbochargers. It features a substantial 6-inch velocity stack air filter for maximum surface area and flow, paired with a 3-inch aluminum intake pipe designed for a precise fit to the turbo inlet. Included with the kit is an additional turbo heat shield, crucial for minimizing heat soak and ensuring that cooler, denser air reaches the engine. Cooler intake air is essential for optimal combustion and power output. The design focuses on reducing turbulence and restriction within the intake tract, which can lead to improved throttle response and a more aggressive engine sound under acceleration. This intake kit is compatible with a range of high-performance BMW vehicles. Fitment includes the 2018+ F90 BMW M5, M5 Competition, and M5 CS; the 2020+ F92 BMW M8 and M8 Competition; the 2020+ F93 BMW M8 and M8 Competition; the G30 BMW M550i (LCI models from 2020 onwards); and the G15/G16 BMW M8, M8 Competition, and M850i.
