Overview

The Dinan High Flow Throttle Body is a performance enhancement for specific BMW models. It functions to improve intake air-flow, allowing the engine to breathe better for increased horsepower and torque, particularly in wide-open throttle scenarios.

This throttle body is bored 7mm larger, providing an 18% increase in air flow area.

While these engines feature Valvetronic technology, the throttle body still plays a crucial role in the traction control system and acts as a safety valve. However, its size can limit air intake, and this Dinan upgrade addresses that limitation. Featuring a larger bore, bored 7mm larger for an 18% increase in air flow area, this high-flow throttle body enables the engine to breathe more freely. This results in gains of +4 HP and +3 LB-FT of torque at 6500 RPM and 6100 RPM respectively, when coupled with engine software. It also provides improved throttle response. Stage 3 Engine Software is recommended for optimum performance and drivability when using this throttle body. The installation process is described as the reverse of removal. This Dinan High Flow Throttle Body is designed for the 2006-2010 BMW 550i, 650i, and 750i models, specifically those with E60, E63, E64, E65, and E66 chassis codes. It is legal for sale and use on Emissions Controlled Vehicles in all 50 states when used in accordance with applicable regulations.
