High Flow Y-Pipe

The IPD High Flow Y-Pipe is a performance upgrade designed for demanding Turbo customers seeking to enhance airflow and boost response in their Porsche 997.1 Turbo and GT2 models. This Y-pipe is not a cast reproduction of the factory part but a complete re-design, featuring larger inlets and an optimized diversion area. It flows 126 cfm more than the factory Y-pipe, delivering the additional power needed to raise the performance bar. Constructed from aluminum and finished with a powder coating, this Y-pipe offers an accentuated merge collector area. This design allows intake air flows from each intercooler to meet in a more parallel fashion as air enters the throttle body, thereby minimizing turbulence and increasing boost response. The combination of the Y-pipe and an IPD Plenum is said to deliver substantial power and torque gains. The IPD 997 Turbo Y Pipe is engineered as a direct replacement for the factory OEM Y Pipe, requiring no modifications or fabrication for installation. It is described as an easy and straightforward bolt-on upgrade. However, installation of all Turbo Plenums is highly recommended to be performed by qualified and trained Porsche technicians.
