High-Friction Brake Pads

Developed using a unique Ferro-Carbon formula, these pads leverage advanced friction technology from the aerospace and motorsports industries to deliver superior performance compared to stock brake pads. They provide an increased coefficient of friction, translating to 20-40% greater stopping power and improved resistance to brake fade, even under demanding conditions. The HPS compound offers a higher coefficient of friction compared to OEM pads, resulting in increased brake torque and operating temperature capabilities. With an optimal operating temperature range of 100-500 Deg F and an upper end of 800-900 Deg F, these pads are suitable for light track use, provided users are aware of overheating signs and allow for proper cool-down. While not a race compound for prolonged high-temperature sessions, the HPS pads offer a noticeable performance improvement over standard options. Key characteristics of the Hawk HPS compound include a smooth braking feel, excellent performance for spirited driving, and gentle treatment of rotors, leading to extended pad life. They also provide consistent release characteristics and produce less dust than many OEM pads, though more than Hawk's Ceramic compound. The operating temperature range is 100-700 Deg F, with an optimal range of 100-500 Deg F. These rear brake pads are specifically designed for select Subaru WRX models from 2008-2020 and Outback XT models from 2005-2009.
