Overview

The JS Alternators high-output alternator is designed for the 2011-2020 Kia Optima L4 2.0L. It offers a direct fit, dropping into the factory alternator location with no modifications needed. This alternator is built for high-demand electrical systems, such as those found in car audio, marine, and racing applications.

Key features include a factory-style plug for direct OEM connection without rewiring and a smaller pulley that spins faster for maximum output. A 1/2" to 1" shorter belt is required for proper installation with the included smaller pulley.

The JS Alternators high-output alternator is engineered as a direct replacement for the 2011-2020 Kia Optima L4 2.0L, fitting seamlessly into the stock alternator location without requiring any modifications. Key features include a direct fit design, a factory-style plug that connects directly to the OEM harness for a plug-and-play installation, and a smaller pulley that spins faster to maximize electrical output. To ensure proper function with the smaller pulley, a belt that is 1/2" to 1" shorter than the stock belt is required. This high-output alternator requires additional components for safe and efficient operation. A Big 3 Wiring Upgrade Kit is mandatory, and it is recommended to use 1/0 gauge 100% copper wire for this upgrade. If a specific voltage setpoint is desired, a compatible voltage regulator must be purchased separately, as this alternator requires one.
