The ProCharger High Output Intercooled Supercharger System with a D-1 head unit is specifically designed for 1985-1991 Corvette C4 L98 TPI applications. This system delivers significant horsepower gains, ranging from 55 to 75 percent or more on 93 octane fuel, providing enthusiasts with increased airflow and performance beyond entry-level systems. At its core, the D-1 centrifugal supercharger offers enhanced airflow and improved top-end performance. The system achieves approximately 7 psi of boost through an efficient compressor design, ensuring smooth, linear power delivery. To maintain optimal intake temperatures and consistent performance under boost, the intercooling system is year-specific: 1985-1989 models utilize a 2-core air-to-air intercooler, while 1990-1991 models feature a twin intercooler setup. Installation is simplified by the use of the factory 6-rib belt drive system, which employs factory belt routing.
