The Mugen High Performance Air Intake System is a precision-engineered airbox designed for the 1996-1998 Integra Type R (DC2) with the B18C engine. Developed specifically for the US domestic market, this kit is configured for vehicles without air conditioning and is compatible with the ABS-equipped chassis. By utilizing a redesigned intake housing and incorporating filter, air-horn, and clamping components from the S2000 airbox system, it optimizes system volume and air inlet temperatures for improved performance. This high-performance intake system balances sound characteristics with increased power delivery across the RPM range. It is intended to maximize torque and horsepower while maintaining a refined engine note, rather than focusing solely on peak output numbers.
