High Performance Intercooler

The Racingline High Performance Intercooler System is purpose-designed for the 2.0 TSI MQB 'Evo' engine, addressing the limitations of the factory intercooler which struggles to cope with higher power demands and can lead to significant power loss as air temperatures rise. This upgrade utilizes a massive 70mm 'plate & bar' core, resulting in a 96% increase in volume compared to the stock unit. By consistently reducing intake air temperatures (IAT), this intercooler minimizes heat soak, allowing for sustained performance gains and eliminating the need for recovery cool-down periods. The system includes internally-wired OEM fitment 70mm boost hoses, constructed with multiple plies to withstand heat deformation and burst pressure, and are supplied with stainless steel Mikalor-brand clamps. The cast construction end tanks feature internal flow guides to minimize turbulence and direct airflow across the entire core depth, with enlarged 70mm inlet and outlet sizes for improved flow over the factory 60mm outlets. This intercooler has been developed exclusively for the 2.0 TSI Gen.4 engine to achieve optimal IAT cooling with minimal pressure loss, thus avoiding increased lag. Fitment is confirmed for the 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.4 engines in various Audi A3, S3, TT S, VW Golf GTI, Golf R, Arteon, and T-Roc R models from 2019 onwards, depending on the specific submodel and engine variant. To accommodate its larger size, some light trimming of the black plastic radiator carrier may be required, with the extent of trimming varying by model.
