The FrozenBoost Water to Air Intercooler DIY Kit provides a superior cooling solution compared to traditional air-to-air intercoolers. The intercooler core itself is crafted from 100% lightweight aluminum, assuring durability and minimal weight impact. Notably, it utilizes no epoxy in its construction, a critical feature for long-term reliability. It is recommended for applications exceeding 700 CFM and boasts an incredibly low pressure drop of less than 0.1 PSI. The core features 3.0" air inlet/outlet and 1/2" NPT water inlet/outlet, with a core size of 10"x4.5"x4.5" (excluding endtanks). It has a maximum water pressure rating of 70 PSI and is configured with the inlet and outlet on the same side. It comes with both mounting feet and a through-radiator mounting kit, and its shallow 2.5" depth makes it ideal for installations in confined spaces. It features eight mounting points, 1/2" NPT female water inlet/outlet ports, and a 1/8-27 NPT tap for a temperature sending unit, along with a fill/pressure cap and a drain plug. The kit incorporates a Rule 401FC pump, selected for its high flow rate (500 GPH) and cost-effectiveness for water-to-air intercooler systems. The pump operates on 12V-14V DC and comes with a 3-year warranty, though use with high-temperature water or antifreeze may void it.
