Threads are rolled after heat treating for superior strength, with a nominal rating of 180,000 psi. This kit includes an oil pickup standoff bolt and is designed for 2-bolt main caps.

The ARP High Performance Main Bolt Kit (154-5001) offers a significant upgrade over stock fasteners for your Small Block Ford engine. Forged from premium 8740 chrome moly, these main bolts are engineered for superior strength and reliability in demanding applications. Each bolt features a generous under-head radius and undergoes heat treating to ensure utmost durability. ARP's proprietary thread-rolling process, performed after heat treating, results in threads that are approximately 1000% stronger than conventional methods. These bolts are rated at a substantial 180,000 psi tensile strength, making them an ideal choice for performance builds. This kit is specifically designed for 2-bolt main caps and includes the necessary oil pickup standoff bolt. It is compatible with Small Block Ford engines, including 289 and 302 cubic inch displacements, for both front and rear sump applications. The black oxide finish provides corrosion resistance and a sleek appearance.
