The DEI Reflect-A-Gold Heat Reflective Tape is an effective solution for protecting vehicle components from damaging high temperatures. This heat shield is engineered with a durable construction, featuring a metalized polyamide polymer laminated to a lightweight glass fiber cloth. It utilizes a high-temperature, pressure-sensitive adhesive, making it suitable for environments with extreme temperature fluctuations. Its reflective gold finish is capable of reflecting 80% of radiant heat. The tape measures 0.0065 inches thick and is resistant to UV degradation for long-term performance. Installation is straightforward: measure, cut, position the reflective side towards the heat source, peel the self-adhesive backing, and stick. The product can withstand continuous temperatures up to 850 degrees Fahrenheit, while its adhesive is rated for up to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. DEI offers this tape in multiple sizes, including the 1.5in x 15in option.
