High-Voltage Isolator Module

The AXM-110 High Voltage Isolator from AMP EFI is engineered to protect sensitive engine or transmission control modules from damaging voltage spikes that can occur on digital input lines. This module is crucial when integrating high-powered accessories such as line locks and transbrakes, or when working with older ignition systems, ensuring the longevity and reliability of your control electronics. It provides robust electrical isolation in a compact, motorsports-grade package, making it suitable for demanding applications and harsh environments. Key applications include triggering an MS3Pro EVO from a coil (-) terminal on distributor-based ignition systems for fuel-only setups, isolating high-voltage trigger inputs on MicroSquirt TCU setups for carbureted transmission control, and safely integrating inductive loads like line locks and transbrake solenoids with ECU or data logger inputs. The AXM-110 features input protection capable of handling up to 1,500V peak and 33.5V continuous, and provides an inverting digital output from 0 to system supply voltage (5.0V to 29.0V). The PCB is conformal coated for moisture resistance, though not submersible, and it includes a durable Amphenol AT connector (Deutsch DT compatible) with pre-crimped pins for a reliable connection. Important considerations include its water-resistant design, suitable for rugged environments, and a durable connection system. It is noted that the AXM-110 is not recommended for use with CDI ignitions; in such cases, the CDI's built-in tach output should be utilized instead.
