High Volume Intake System

The PRL Motorsports High Volume Intake System is a performance-enhancing component engineered for the 2024+ Acura Integra Type-S DE5. This system is designed to significantly improve airflow compared to the factory setup, featuring a large 6-inch cone filter and a robust HDPE rotomolded air box. PRL's engineers have focused on optimizing the interaction with the factory air duct and seal to ensure maximum efficiency and reduced heat soak. Addressing a known restriction point in the factory design, this intake includes a secondary duct that channels air into the airbox, preventing air starvation, especially during demanding driving conditions. This enhancement, combined with maximizing the opening size, results in a substantial 133% increase in airflow over the stock unit. The intake tract utilizes PRL's signature stepped silicone design to ensure smooth transitions between components, minimizing resistance and promoting a more freely breathing engine. PRL Motorsports emphasizes maintaining factory-like fuel trim for optimal drivability, a key consideration in their design process for this MAF housing and intake system. Importantly, this intake system fits the Factory Turbocharger Inlet Pipe ONLY and does not require ECU calibration after installation.
