Overview

The PRL Motorsports High Volume Intercooler + Charge Pipe Kit is an upgrade designed for the 2023-2026 Acura Integra DE4 with the 1.5L L15CA engine. This kit addresses heat-soak issues common in the factory intercooler, which can lead to detonation and power loss.

It features a high-volume, bar-and-plate intercooler core rated for 550+ horsepower (with capabilities up to 600+) and machined billet aluminum end tanks. The kit also includes a charge pipe upgrade with a larger cold-side diameter (2.5" vs. 1.25" factory) and a factory-diameter hot-side outlet to improve spool.

The PRL Motorsports High Volume Intercooler + Charge Pipe Kit is engineered to combat heat-soak in the 2023-2026 Acura Integra DE4 (1.5L - L15CA), a common issue that can compromise performance and engine safety. The core of this upgrade is a high-volume, bar-and-plate intercooler with a 26x4.5x5.9” core, capable of handling 550+ horsepower (tested up to 600+). It features durable machined billet aluminum end tanks and utilizes factory mounting locations for a straightforward installation. This intercooler significantly reduces charge air temperatures, with testing showing decreases of up to 108 degrees Fahrenheit and a 40% increase in cooling efficiency compared to the stock unit. It includes a larger 2.5-inch inner diameter cold-side charge pipe, which increases airflow potential over the factory 1.25-inch pipe. The hot-side pipe retains the factory diameter to aid turbocharger spool. Additionally, the High Volume Intercooler Outlet promotes laminar airflow and includes a methanol injection bung located at the intercooler outlet for proper atomization and consistent delivery, beneficial for tuning and safety. This comprehensive kit includes the PRL Intercooler Core (PRL-HC11-IC), PRL Charge Pipe Kit (PRL-HC11-CP), and PRL High-Volume Intercooler Outlet (PRL-HC11-IC-OUT-HV), along with all necessary hardware for installation. Testing on a stock vehicle showed potential horsepower gains of up to 9 HP.
