The Melling 10295 High Pressure Oil Pump is engineered as a performance upgrade for Gen III and Gen IV LS engines, specifically addressing the need for improved oil pressure stability at elevated RPMs. This pump provides approximately 10% higher oil pressure than the factory M295 pump, helping to mitigate cavitation issues common in OE LS pumps when operating above 6,200 RPM. Construction features include a CNC-machined, hardcoat anodized aluminum housing and a precision-machined, phosphate-coated cast iron cover with countersunk screws for enhanced clearance and service life. The exclusive rotor design offers improved strength. This pump maintains a factory oil volume with a flow rate of 6.8 GPM and incorporates a 33 PSI pressure relief spring for consistent oil control during demanding performance conditions. This oil pump is compatible with a wide range of Gen III and Gen IV LS engines, including LS1, LS6, LS2, LS3, and various Vortec variants (4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, 6.2L). However, it is crucial to note that this pump is not compatible with VVT (Variable Valve Timing) or AFM/DOD (Active Fuel Management/Displacement on Demand) equipped engines. For AFM/DOD applications, Melling 10355 is recommended.
