Hitch Skid Plate

The DV8 Xtract Hitch Skid Plate offers a robust solution for protecting your rig's hitch receiver while providing a reliable recovery point. Engineered from a single piece of 6061-T6 billet aluminum, this skid plate is built for durability on challenging trails. This hitch skid is designed to mount onto any standard 2” hitch receiver that uses a 5/8” pin. It incorporates 1” thick mounts specifically for ¾” D-rings, offering secure recovery points with a substantial 13,000lb working load limit, suitable for trail recovery needs. The construction from premium billet aluminum ensures both strength and longevity. The DV8 Xtract Hitch Skid is offered in multiple finishes, including raw, black, and red, with an option to upgrade to a billet aluminum skid plate pad. Replacement Delrin and Aluminum Skid Pads are also available separately. IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE: This hitch skid is designed for 2” hitch receivers. It will NOT work with 2.5” hitches, which are commonly found on 3/4-ton and 1-ton trucks, even if a reducer is used. Additionally, some OEM and aftermarket hitches may have a gusset on the underside that can impede proper fitment; for example, the 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma OEM hitch is not compatible. Always check your specific hitch for potential clearance issues before installation.
