The JL Audio HO112RG-W3v3 is a 12-inch subwoofer system housed in a slot-ported H.O. Wedge enclosure. It features patented frame cooling technology that directs airflow across the voice coil for enhanced power handling and reliability. The engineered lead-wire system ensures quiet operation during extreme excursions.

The subwoofer utilizes FCAM technology, a floating cone attach method that ensures proper surround geometry for better excursion control and dynamic voice coil alignment. Additionally, the Vented Reinforcement Collar (VRC) design improves the rigidity of the cone/spider/voice coil junction and aids in thermal performance by directing airflow over the voice coil windings.

The JL Audio HO112RG-W3v3 is a high-output, 12-inch subwoofer system designed to deliver rich, powerful bass in car audio installations. This compact, slot-ported H.O. Wedge enclosure is carefully tuned and sized to maximize sound quality, output, and efficiency from its single W3v3 series subwoofer. This enclosure features several JL Audio proprietary technologies. The patented Elevated Frame Cooling design creates a pathway for high-velocity air to flow directly across the top plate of the speaker voice coil, improving power handling and reliability. The FCAM (Floating Cone Attach Method) technology ensures proper surround geometry for better excursion control and dynamic voice coil alignment. Furthermore, the Vented Reinforcement Collar (VRC) design enhances the rigidity of the cone/spider/voice coil junction and directs airflow for improved thermal performance. This H.O. Wedge system is designed for simplified installation, arriving wired, loaded, and ready to connect via a 5-way binding post terminal. The enclosure is constructed from sturdy MDF and finished with high-grade automotive carpet, featuring embroidered silver “JL AUDIO” branding. The system is powered by a 12-inch W3v3 subwoofer and operates at a low 2-ohm impedance. It is optimally powered by amplifiers in the 150- to 500-watt range.
