Once you start lifting the hood, the system will smoothly and automatically raise it. This specific QuickLIFT PLUS kit is designed with an all-black finish, featuring zinc-plated and black powder-coated steel mounting hardware for enhanced corrosion protection. The gas springs themselves have a black e-coated steel body and a black annealed extending rod, with specialized end-fittings for a secure connection. However, some mounting hardware, specifically the multi-grip rivets for attaching the ball stud brackets, will require drilling into the vehicle. Redline Tuning provides detailed, full-color installation manuals to guide you through the process. The gas springs are custom-designed by Redline Tuning for each specific vehicle application, incorporating progressive-rate technology with exclusive end-of-stroke dampening. This feature slows the extension rate in the final inches of travel, reducing stress on the hood. This QuickLIFT system is compatible with the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 model years of the Subaru Outback. The product comes with a four-year warranty on all QuickLIFT PLUS components.
