This system provides one-handed operation, allowing the hood to lift smoothly and automatically once initiated. Installation is designed as a partial bolt-in process. The lower mounting hardware attaches to existing locations on your vehicle. However, the hood mounting hardware requires drilling and the use of special multi-grip rivets (included) to secure the ball stud brackets. Detailed, full-color installation manuals are provided to facilitate a straightforward setup. The QuickLIFT ELITE components feature 316L stainless steel gas springs with a brushed silver finish and specifically designed end fittings. These progressive-rate gas springs are manufactured to Redline Tuning's specifications, incorporating exclusive end-of-stroke dampening to slow extension and reduce stress on the hood. This specific QuickLIFT system is compatible with Chevrolet C10, C20, C30, K10, K20, K30, and K5 Blazer models from 1981 to 1987, including both 2WD and 4WD, 1/2-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton variants. It also fits full-size Blazer and Jimmy trucks from 1981 to 1991. The installation requires the removal of the stock hood spring assembly.
