HP Ignition Coilpack

The HP Ignition AutoDiag Uprated Coilpack, Type U5012, is specifically designed for performance-oriented BMW engines. This uprated coilpack offers superior resistance and quality compared to OEM ignition coils, making it ideal for tuned engines operating at high revs and temperatures. A standout feature is its integrated self-diagnosis system. The AutoDiag coilpacks are equipped with an additional component that monitors ignition performance, such as secondary discharge time. When an ignition issue is detected in a cylinder, a red LED activates on the corresponding coilpack, aiding in rapid troubleshooting of problems like defective spark plugs. Upon engine startup, all LEDs flash for five seconds to confirm the AutoDiag system's functionality. Installation is a direct bolt-on, plug-and-play process with no modifications or adjustments required. It is sold individually. Compatibility extends to various BMW models with specific engine codes, including the M3 E36 3.0L (S50B30), M5 E34 3.8L (S38B38), 3 Series E36 MK1 (320i - M50B20, 325i - M50B25), 5 Series E34 (520i - M50B20, 525i - M50B25, 530i - M60B30, 540i - M60B40), 7 Series E32 and E38 (730i - M60B30, 740i - M60B40), and 8 Series E31 (840i - M60B40), as well as all TU & TUB variations of these engine codes.
