Overview

The Hawk HP Plus Street Rear Brake Pads (HB523N.539) are designed for a blend of street use and performance driving, including autocross and track days. They feature an enhanced compound that provides high friction levels for responsiveness and resistance to brake fade, while also offering improved wear characteristics and rotor compatibility compared to previous versions. These pads are intended for use with iron/metal rotors and are not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors.
Show original supplier description
Hawk's HP Plus Sport Pads, featuring an enhanced compound, offer a significant upgrade for drivers seeking improved stopping power for both daily driving and more demanding performance applications like autocross and track days. This compound aims to balance the stopping force and fade resistance of performance race compounds with the versatility required for street use. This results in extremely high friction levels, ensuring quick response and robust resistance against brake fade, even under demanding conditions. All Hawk Performance compounds are incompatible with carbon ceramic rotors. Due to the aggressive nature of this compound, increased noise and dust production should be expected over standard street brake pads. Proper bedding-in procedures are crucial for maximizing performance and ensuring optimal transfer film at the pad and rotor interface.
