HP-Series Main Bearings

The King HP-Series Main Bearings MB5013HP 001 are engineered for high-performance street and strip applications, offering superior oiling and durability under demanding conditions. These main bearings are specifically recommended for engines utilizing aftermarket crankshafts and boosted configurations such as superchargers, turbochargers, NOS, or alcohol fueling. Constructed from a bi-metal, silicon aluminum material, these bearings feature a greater eccentricity for improved oil flow at high RPM. The HP-Series bearings include large, chamfered oil holes and are available in a 1/2 grooving style to enhance oiling, making them suitable for high-rpm operation. Each set contains five bearings and is designed with a .001 inch (0.025mm) crankshaft undersize. The groove location is in the upper position, and the groove style is 1/2. This specific configuration is intended to work with various Chevrolet Small Block LS engines, including models from 2001-2015 across makes like Avanti, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Isuzu, Pontiac, and Workhorse. Application notes indicate they are suitable for LS1, LS4, and LH6 engines, with specific compatibility for engines featuring VIN code G, C, M, S, U, P, or T.
