The HPA Motorsports 2.0T K04 Hybrid Turbo Upgrade is a performance-focused turbocharger built for Gen 1 and Gen 2 EA 888 and EA 113 engines, offering an advanced unit at an accessible price point. Developed with track-inspired technology adapted for street use, it aims to unleash the true potential of your 2.0 TSI/TFSI engine. This hybrid turbo is designed for enhanced performance, with the potential to achieve up to 355HP and 347TQ, dependent on fuel quality, supporting modifications, and tuning. It features a compact design for faster boost response and increased turbo longevity, a turbo muffler delete for smoother intake air flow, and a simplified design for easier installation. The unit maintains the diverter valve in its OEM position and includes a block-off plate for the PCV system (TSI). Its custom compressor wheel design with a unique blade profile and billet construction allows for quicker spool and higher output across the entire RPM range. HPA ensures OEM quality by balancing individual components and the complete CHRA assembly on Schenk and VSR Balancers, respectively, mirroring the standards of leading turbo manufacturers. The kit includes all necessary hardware for an upgrade, acting as a direct replacement for the stock K03 in most applications. It comes with a turbo muffler delete for improved exhaust gas flow, the OEM diverter valve, and the OEM N75 Boost control solenoid, ensuring compatibility with aftermarket tuning. For vehicles with the CBFA engine code, custom fabrication may be required to relocate the first O2 sensor; however, MOST Performance downpipes are designed to resolve this issue.
