HPS 5.0 Front Brake Pad

The Hawk Performance HPS 5.0 (High Performance Street 5.0) brake pad compound is engineered to provide your vehicle with maximum stopping power and improved pedal feel while maintaining ABS functionality. This Ferro-Carbon compound merges the safety and quality of aerospace design with advanced motorsports braking technology, resulting in shorter stopping distances and better performance under heavy braking conditions. The HPS 5.0 is designed for street cars and offers increased brake torque and operating temperature compared to the standard Hawk HPS compound. This compound is suitable for light track use, provided the driver is aware of overheating signs and allows for proper cool-down periods. However, the HPS 5.0 is not a dedicated race compound and cannot withstand prolonged race sessions at high temperatures. While it offers a higher coefficient of friction than stock brake pads, providing 20-40% more stopping power, it produces more brake dust than Hawk Ceramic and Hawk HPS pads. The operating temperature range for the HPS 5.0 is 100-750 Deg F, with an optimal range of 100-550 Deg F.
