The Hawk Performance HPS 5.0 (High Performance Street 5.0) front brake pads are engineered to deliver maximum stopping power and refined pedal feel for your vehicle, all while maintaining ABS compatibility. These brake pads are characterized by aggressive torque, great rotor and pad wear life, and smooth, predictable control. The HPS 5.0 compound operates effectively within a temperature range of 100-750 degrees F, with an optimal range of 100-550 degrees F. While the HPS 5.0 compound offers increased brake torque and operating temperature compared to the standard HPS compound, and can withstand light track use with proper cool-down periods, it is important to note that these are not race compounds and cannot withstand prolonged race sessions at high temperatures. They may produce more brake dust than Hawk Ceramic and Hawk HPS pads, but are generally cleaner than most OEM pads.
