The HPS Performance 827 Series air intake kit (Part # 827-596) for 1996-1997 Lexus SC400 4.0L V8 is a free-flowing 3-inch mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to produce dyno-proven performance gains. It increases horsepower by +8.7 whp and torque by +10.8 ft/lbs, and improves throttle response while maintaining a safe air-fuel ratio. The kit includes a heavy-duty powder-coated steel heat shield to block hot air from the air filter for optimal cooling. This short ram cool air intake offers a convenient way to change the intake, particularly in rainy conditions where water might be inducted into a cold air system. The installation manual provides clear pictures and instructions, and the kit does not require tuning or trigger a CEL light. No modification is required during installation. The lightweight mandrel-bent aluminum alloy tube replaces the restrictive stock air box, optimizing airflow with excellent heat dissipation and long-lasting durability. The kit features HPS Performance's signature race-proven reinforced silicone hoses and industrial-grade 100% stainless steel T-bolt clamps for reliability in extreme driving conditions. The All-New HPS Performance Air Filter is made in the United States and designed for excellent filtration without sacrificing airflow.
